Ringin' in the New Year

Just me and my Fleece Artist Merino, oh and my husband. Once I started I couldn't stop (knitting that is), I think yarn gets better with age. This has been in my stash for some time, one of those what are you going to make with it moments? when you say, "I don't know I will think of something" or "I don't know, but it's pretty and I don't want anyone else to have it. " Alright, alright I confess I am terribly selfish, I wanted it for myself. And what d'ya know I found something to make out it for myself, socks. I know I go wild and crazy on occasion :)

How do we spend the day in Northern B.C.on New Year's Day? Your dying to know aren't you? Tailgating and ATV'n of course. The best man from our wedding was visiting and out we went with his family and friends for a few hours, bombing around in the mud. We were at one of our old high school party haunts at the base of the mountain. It was fun and my boys had a blast. We had hot chocolate and a fire, and our fireman friend tried to convince the boys that you could start a fire with potato chips, in a pinch. "Look see they burn." PYRO!

I've been thinking about the 2006 knitting season. You know we have to prepare, just like professional athletes no? I'm going to stick to a strict training schedule of socks, throw in Butterfly from Noro, mix it up with some felted slippers. Then WHAM! go in hard after spring training with the Dale of Norway St Moritz for my husband me. See I said I was selfish ;)

Happy New Year! Looks/sounds like you had fun :o)

I live with a fireman and have learned from experience that they are the worst pyros around ;o)
